Responsibilities
Work on several concurrent projects, ranging from medium-large scale commercial interior architecture scope to tenant improvements.
Interact with clients and present project and design concepts.
Develop space plans for projects of any size and create furniture specifications and installation drawings.
Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations including ADA, IBC, Title 24, and CBC codes.
Develop and present design concepts for architectural treatments, detailing, lighting, materials, and furnishings.
Utilize skills in color and black-line hand sketching to communicate design concepts.
Proficient in software tools like Revit, AutoCAD, Office 365, Outlook, Photoshop, MS Project, Smartsheet, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
Understand project schedules, design fees, budgets, and costs to work effectively with staff and promote a positive learning environment.
Apply knowledge of LEED/Sustainability design concepts and certification requirements.

Required
Advanced knowledge of relevant aspects of interior planning, design, space programming, furnishings, architectural materials and construction costs
Working knowledge of local codes (including ADA, IBC, Title 24, and CBC codes)
Adept at developing and presenting design concepts for architectural treatments, detailing, lighting, materials, and furnishings
Working knowledge of lighting, HVAC, structural, plumbing, sprinkler, and electrical design
Excels at color and black-line hand sketching to communicate design concepts
Excellent working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Office 365, Outlook, image editing software (PhotoShop or equal), scheduling software (MS Project or Smartsheet), page layout software (Illustrator or equal), Acrobat, and Bluebeam
Acute awareness of project schedule, design fees, project budgets, reimbursable costs, etc.
Working knowledge of LEED/Sustainability design concepts and certification requirements
Bachelor's degree in design
Minimum of 12 years previous design experience in the architectural/interiors field
