Responsibilities
Develop detailed design schematics and review 2D and 3D drawings for electronic and electrical products.
Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, engineering specialists, manufacturers, customers, engineering firms, and other external experts.
Interface with project managers and area leadership to develop a win strategy and evaluate project dynamics.
Provide guidance and design aid to fellow system's design engineers.
Manage and create design submittals for integrated security systems in accordance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and regulations.
Maintain design submittals during changes to the contract.
Review and release Bills of Material for purchasing.
Negotiate deliverables with peers and approvers.

Required
Working knowledge of Electronic Security Systems and features.
Be able to differentiate between technical and contractual issues, create and respond to formal notices, analyze contractual changes and schedule impact of these changes.
Ability to scrutinize specified parts and fitness for particular purposes.
Ability to see specified errors and recommend substitutions.
Ability to issue RFIs and maintain formal communication.
Review and release Bills of Material for purchasing.
Review of sales person’s BOM to ensure proper parts or discontinued parts are substituted.
Schedule work and communicate effectively to peers.
Develop and improve the security system’s design process.
Negotiate deliverables with peers and approvers.
BS in EE Engineering or equivalent is required.
AC and DC circuitry, voltage drop calculations and wire sizing.
Proven experience working as a lead engineer on a large project of more than $1M.
Proven experience managing workload and pressure situations.
Computer skills to include: AutoCAD, MS Office, Acrobat writer, Visio, Big Machines and Sales Force.
Preferred
Ability to calculate Digital video bandwidth and storage capacity is a preferred.
Decent knowledge of network and system security principles, not only in theory.
Executing enterprise engineering techniques.
Revit familiarity is a plus.
