Responsibilities

Applying advanced concepts of operations research, statistics, and scientific methods in identifying and solving complex challenges.

Advising and developing strategies for large-scale projects.

Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, data quality assurance, and developing reports based on operational and management statistics.

Managing operations research studies using mathematical and statistical models for decision-making.

Reviewing, analyzing, and recommending actions for organization concept plans and changes.

Required

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in Operations Research

At least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus

One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, including preparing and presenting technical briefings, assisting in decision-making, working closely with stakeholder organizations, reviewing and recommending actions for major organization concept plans, changes, formulating and developing plans and objectives pertinent to effective and efficient workforce management

U.S. Citizenship

Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service

Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
