Responsibilities

Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities.

Prepare fee proposals including work plans to identify scope, staffing, and schedule; Participate in the negotiation of contracts.

Define staff requirements for projects as needed or directed.

Manage project budget, work plans, consultants, and schedule. Track fees and costs for conformance to contract.

Participate in the preparation and execution of subcontracts for consultants.

Build and sustain a cooperative and respectful work relationship with clients, ownership teams, and representatives.

Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team (i.e. Project Designer, Project Architect, and Principal in Charge).

Provide leadership including professional development coaching and mentoring staff.

Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects.

Foster ongoing communication through team meetings, minutes, and update memos to the project team including consultants.

Ensure project documentation and compliance with Populous standards and policies.

Contribute to design development, drawings, in support of overall project goals when requested and directed by the Principal-in-Charge.

Create respectful associations with contractors upholding the design team's interests.

Required

Minimum of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or Engineering.

7+ years of experience in an architectural, engineering or construction practice with 5 years prior project management experience in all phases of projects.

Project Management experience with sport facilities, convention centers, hospitality, and aviation a strong plus.

Licensed Architect, Interior Designer, Engineer or LEED accreditation preferred.

NCARB registration preferred.
