Responsibilities
Design and analyze steel structures for various architectural projects, ensuring adherence to building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software and tools (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS).
Collaborate with architectural and multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural systems into overall building designs.
Perform structural assessments and feasibility studies for new and existing structures.
Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication plans, and other technical documents related to steel structures.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess construction progress and resolve technical issues.
Ensure quality control and assurance throughout the design and construction phases, including responding to RFIs and conducting design reviews.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in [state/country], with a focus on structural engineering.
Minimum [2] years of experience in architectural engineering with a specialization in steel structures design.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS) and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations (e.g., IBC, AISC), and industry standards related to steel structures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
