Responsibilities
Collaborate with Department and Division Administrators to influence and implement strategic initiatives.
Lead administrative services to meet divisional needs and create a culture for success.
Partner with the Division Directors and Administrators to develop and implement strategic initiatives in alignment with the Department.
Oversee major program event operations to ensure a sustainable financial model while meeting divisional priorities.
Assures excellent communication with the Department and other key stakeholders, including philanthropic partners.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with at least 6 years of related experience
Prior experience working with both clinical and academic faculty members
Outstanding interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills; advanced knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Experience providing technical assistance to a variety of end users; ability to creatively and independently troubleshoot
Demonstrated ability to develop professionally and assume increasing levels of responsibility
Strong planning, organizational, and execution skills as well as ability to establish and meet deadlines
Experience supporting the visa application process in an academic setting
Experience managing the day-to-day aspects of philanthropic grant funding
Preferred
Previous work experience at the University of Minnesota in the administrative job family
Familiarity with medical research terminology
Project management certification and/or demonstrated experience
Experience with grant and/or programmatic writing and synthesizing
Experience with coordinating events for Continuing Medical Education credits
