Responsibilities
Effectively manage a team of temporary works engineers, assigning, organizing, and tracking their work to ensure timely and accurate delivery according to specified requirements.
Provide expert input and guidance on constructability and technical design aspects of temporary works construction designs. Coordinate the resolution of problems, review progress, recommend alternatives, and advise on project objectives to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory standards.
Evaluate proposals, data, and reports from manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with company and client requirements.
Oversee the design and drafting process for construction methods related to temporary works, such as falsework, shoring, temporary bridges, formwork, slopes, etc. Ensure that designs are complete, accurate, and aligned with regulatory standards and contractual specifications. Review personal designs as well as those of peers and consultants to optimize constructability, cost-effectiveness, and material quantities for the project.
Submit designs for peer review or approval in a timely and accurate manner to prevent construction delays. Apply professional seals to personal and team designs following approval.
Provide on-site oversight of temporary works construction designs to ensure adherence to plans and provide support for project engineering.
Conduct forensic analysis of post-construction items to support claims mitigation and dispute resolution processes.
Prepare and supervise the preparation of written reports and submittals about temporary works designs.

Required
A Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or a related Engineering field is necessary, along with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
A Professional Engineer (PE) certification is mandatory in any state
Demonstrated expertise in temporary works construction practices and innovative techniques for improving constructability.
Proven track record of successfully employing creative and innovative strategies to overcome construction challenges.
Experience in Transportation or Hydro project (Structural is required)
Proficient in writing clear, concise, and efficient technical documentation, particularly in calculation packages.
Capable of driving, mentoring, and supporting a team of developing engineers, establishing clear expectations to achieve departmental and project objectives.
Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD, RIZA suite, LARSA, and MathCAD is required.
Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
