Responsibilities
Review and evaluate development plans for new and existing communities.
Manage development contracts, proposals, and documents for vendors.
Oversee construction of on-site amenities like pool/cabanas, guard houses, and entry gates.
Act as a liaison between subcontractors, consultants, agencies, and utility companies.
Handle invoices from subcontractors/vendors and update development budgets.
Request and monitor development bonds with municipalities.
Establish and maintain filing systems for the land and development department.
Provide internal customer service and assist with bond maintenance.
Ensure successful delivery of new projects through construction schedules, budgets, and permit compliance.
Budgeting for development/entitlements and SWPPP management and compliance.
Network with other builders and developers to stay competitive in the market.
Assist VP of Land with updating pipeline reports and meet with developers and land sellers as needed.
Research approvals/permits, zoning, engineering plans, and building costs.

Required
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelors degree preferred.
Valid Drivers license and a good driving record required.
Minimum 3 years in land development.
Must be able to read, understand and evaluate civil engineering / development plans.
Excellent written, oral, organizational and math skills.
Must possess professional attitude to represent the company in a positive manner.
Ability to perform, in a professional manner, multiple detail oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
Computer literate with ability to work with Microsoft Office.
Minimum two years vertical construction knowledge and scheduling.
Preferred
Knowledge of CAD and Build Pro scheduling systems a plus.
