Responsibilities

Work with customers to develop/creative solutions to needs. Migrate existing SharePoint sites to WordPress. Use knowledge in industry standards and solutions surrounding WordPress hosting to suggest and implement creative well-designed solutions.

Identify organizational needs and work with lead to present those needs to customers. Take ownership of directives and tasks, follow through to completion, and validate solutions meet needs and quality expectations.

Apply software engineering principles to processes and information display. Plan, develop, and implement software-engineering solutions to complex problems.

Support project plans and requirements, establish scope, cost, and schedule estimates for development activities. Participate in technical reviews for projects and provide recommendations for computer technology solutions.

Maintain and upgrade systems, develop new software capabilities, create new methodologies and architectures, document activities, reports, and existing technologies.

Review source code and system design documentation, create reports on code quality, defects, anomalies, and provide recommendations for improvements. Engage in professional development to maintain technical proficiency.

Utilize expertise to define strategic direction in assigned areas.

Required

Bachelors plus 2 - 5+ years experience or Advanced Degree and 1 - 3+ years relevant experience or 10+ years relevant education/experience in lieu of a bachelors. Relevant Degrees: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems.

Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining WordPress applications.

Experience with SQL or MySQL.

Experience with version control.

Experience supporting WordPress.

You are subject to the requirements of DOE O 142.3B, Unclassified Foreign National Access Program.
