Responsibilities
Assist in providing overall engineering and/or design direction, leadership, and management for assigned projects and tasks.
Integrate and manage engineering resources for assigned projects by establishing design criteria, staffing plans, schedules, and engineering tools.
Provide administrative direction to assigned leads and managers, responsible for overall management, scheduling, and priority of tasks and projects.
Assist in managing the administration, document control, project control, and quality engineering sections for all assigned projects.
Resolve conflicts between project direction and technical direction from functional managers.
Participate in department and site-wide programmatic issues resolution and quality improvements.
Staff, evaluate, and develop a reporting organization capable of achieving project objectives.
Manage activities of subcontractors to ensure output meets project technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
Establish baselines deliverables and engineering work requests.
Recommend subcontractor authorizations for new work and changes to baselines.
Evaluate project cost and schedule variances and implement corrective actions.
Establish project scope of work ensuring firm customer requirements are developed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university
Electrical or Instrumentation & Controls engineering experience
Demonstrated experience in design engineering work or technical project management
Knowledge of planning and control of interdisciplinary activities, design discipline responsibilities, quality aspects for design control methods and procedures, cost and schedule applications, and construction practices
An intermediate knowledge of corporate, company and department goals and policies and procedures; well-developed communication and supervisory skills
Professional Engineering License in any US state
