Responsibilities
Experience with providing engineering services involving civil, environmental, and industrial wastewater.
Complete design analysis, prepare engineering cost estimates, civil or remedial design packages, and construction oversight.
Manage permitting of industrial wastewater discharge, soil erosion and sediment control, and site planning.
Provide technical leadership to engineers and ensure timely project completion.
Develop cost estimates for feasibility studies and remedial designs for contaminated sites.
Perform engineering design for environmental projects and establish project schedules and budgets.
Lead project managers, project engineers, and assistants in planning and implementation of projects.
Develop and implement local marketing and growth strategies in coordination with the marketing director.
Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, and ensure staff compliance with company expectations.
Empower project managers and project teams for successful project delivery and maintain client communication.
Maintain chargeability levels, support other offices, and ensure client satisfaction and project quality.
Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures and maintain client relationships.

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering. Master’s Degree Preferred.
20+ years’ experience in the environmental engineering field.
6+ years progressive management experience.
A current New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Experience in landfill design and construction, wastewater treatment, and large-scale groundwater remediation.
Preparing proposals and budget estimates.
Substantial technical and project management experience.
Adept at leveraging communications skills both externally (business development, preparing and writing proposals, budget estimates, community engagements, stakeholder and partnership development, leading client presentations/meetings) and internally, to drive the development and engagement of strong teams.
Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and Refresher Training
Ability to travel as necessary to complete duties.
Preferred
Strong skills in project and client relationship management and collaborative problem solving with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
Software experience: MS Excel, MS Projects, MS PowerPoint. Experience in GIS/MicroStation/AutoCAD experience is a plus.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills, professional demeanor, and communications abilities.
Ability to use problem solving and flexibility to successfully resolve issues.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient technical writing skills and understanding of industry-standard IT applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
