Responsibilities
The work of a portfolio design specialist is to identify the formal and informal education requirements of the job role.
The candidate will be expected to work with the BlackRock’s Market Leaders to deepen relationships with financial advisors.
The candidate will also be expected to provide capital market and portfolio level insights and concepts to financial advisors in an easy to understand way.

Required
BA/BS required. Advanced Degree
A minimum of 3+ years investment or asset management experience; additional experience preferred;
Strong analytical skills are a must: background in statistics, econometrics or other technical disciplines is a plus;
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be credible as an investment professional;
High level of self-motivation; ability to work independently with modest supervision;
Interest and aptitude for continued learning and practically applying portfolio construction and optimization approaches required;
Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize and collaborate vertically/horizontally in a fast-paced environment;
NASD Series 7 and 66 (or 63 & 65) required
