Responsibilities

Focus is on overall guest service and product quality.

Cultivate a hotel culture that is safe and secure.

Maintain the ongoing maintenance program for the hotel, including various systems and equipment.

Ensure all projects are completed according to specifications and on time.

Work closely with other departments to coordinate activities.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems.

Handle guest requests and inquiries in a positive and courteous manner.

Maintain records, observe equipment readings, and stay accessible for operational needs.

Follow safe work practices and company policies.

Attend meetings and perform any other duties as requested by management.

Required

Previous experience in hotel maintenance or commercial building is required

Flexible and long hours sometimes required

Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office preferred

Ability to lift and move objects weighing 60 lbs. or more

Ability to stand for durations of shift

Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly

Must maintain composure and objectivity while in stressful, high-pressure situations

Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary

Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests

Must have a positive attitude and have a team mindset

Ability to assist when needed

Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Requires a background check upon offer

Requires a drug test upon offer

Basic IT abilities are a plus as the Engineering Manager will be assisting with the IT systems that are an integral part of the hotel's daily use
