Responsibilities
Must stay up to date on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, privacy legislation, and news items and communicate new findings with other team members.
Act as the SME and technical lead for all incidents.
Carefully document the outcome and lessons learned for all incidents.
Prepare metrics and reports for executive review during and after resolution of any Cyber Incidents.
Central point of contact for the collection of IR documents for audit and compliance.
Coordinate and work closely with legal, HR and law enforcement.
Prepare and process security policy violations discovered from incidents.
Document policies, procedures and standards based upon guidance from Corporate Security Management.
Recommend changes in security policies and practices in accordance with changes in law or financial sector security practices.
Ensure that data is protected from unauthorized modification, destruction, and disclosure.
System auditing and monitoring of critical security systems: IPS/IDS, Event Logs, AV logs, Web Logs.
Ensure that security policies are applied and maintained for network devices, remote access devices, firewalls, servers, and workstations.
Continuous monitoring and research of real-time alerts.
Track and report policy violations.
Perform internal control testing to validate design and operating effectiveness and document results in the repository on a timely basis.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required
High school diploma or GED
5+ years’ experience in Information Security in the following areas: Working on a Cybersecurity Incident Response Team, Compliance standards (PCI/DSS, SOX, FISMA, FedRAMP, HIPAA etc.), Threat assessment, vulnerability analysis, risk assessment, information gathering, correlating and reporting
Information Security certification required. Security certifications may include, but not be limited to CISSP, CISA, CISM, GSEC and CEH
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in information security or related field
Information Security Certification; i.e. CISSP, CISM, CEH, GSEC, Security+
Combination of Specialized Information Technology certification (i.e. MCSE, RHCE, cloud, etc) along with previously mentioned Security certification
