Responsibilities

Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN). Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, security updates, and security configurations.
Implement and monitor security measures to protect data, software, hardware, and identify potential threats or problems. Collaborate with cybersecurity team to safeguard network integrity. Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Utilize tools to monitor and analyze network traffic and performance.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date network diagrams and documentation. Prepare reports on network performance, security incidents, and system health.
Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting for network issues. Assist in network troubleshooting, including working with vendors and other support teams and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Respond to and resolve help desk tickets related to network issues in a timely manner.
Work with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless integration and support of IT initiatives. Collaborate on network-related projects and initiatives, providing expertise and insight. Participate in an On-Call rotation.
Manage cloud-based networking infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. Monitor network performance and implement changes to improve efficiency. Optimize cloud resources to reduce costs and improve scalability.
Design cloud network architectures that align with business needs. Implement networking solutions using cloud service providers (CSPs) like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), etc. Configure virtual networks, subnets, and network interfaces in the cloud.

Required

Minimum 5 years of experience in installing/running LAN/WAN technology and telecommunications.
BS in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering, or relative years of experience.
Prefer CISCO Certified Network Professional or higher.
Experience in network operating systems, protocols, WAN design, configuration, and implementation are required.
Experience with network security practices and network management tools.
Deep understanding of network technologies, including: Zero Trust Framework, core network technologies (NGFWs, Switching/routing, etc.), VoIP systems, network monitoring tools (example: Logic Monitor), and load balancers (Example: F5). Palo Alto experience is a plus.
Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to bring IT solutions to business/member-service issues while managing costs and risk. The ability to make decisions in a high-pressure work setting while fostering a cohesive and supportive atmosphere is essential.
Provide analytical and organizational skills, as well as a strong technical background in network and internet systems.
Strong working knowledge and experience in Cisco Network Technologies, Enterprise-level VMWare environment, and multi-location distributed networks. Strong understanding of secure network concepts.
