Responsibilities

Plan and implement design modifications to standard and configured commercial rooftop or split systems products.
Develop cost estimates based on customer requests and specifications.
Design assigned products and/or parts to ensure quality and cost objectives are met.
Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables and design documents.
Assign and oversee project personnel to specific phases or aspects of the project.
Analyze and interpret internally tested and supplier-provided data to support equipment certifications and performance.
Perform accurate analysis of product performance to meet customer expectations.
Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, or related field.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience with engineering design in the HVAC industry, preferrable commercial rooftop package equipment and split systems.
ERP navigation experience, preferably SAP
Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software.
Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
Effective and professional communication and organization skills.

Preferred

Committee membership in a professional organization a plus.
