Responsibilities

Respond to and attend to guest repair requests.

Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.

Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen tools and equipment.

Inspect tools, equipment, or machines visually.

Transport equipment (e.g., tools, radio).

Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all general service disconnect keys for buildings.

Maintain maintenance inventory and request parts and supplies as needed.

Communicate daily activities and issues to employees on other shifts using appropriate communication programs and standards.

Demonstrate basic knowledge or aptitude to acquire knowledge in categories such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electricity, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finishing, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building management.

Perform surface preparation and painting, minor wall and woodwork repairs, replacement of bulbs and air conditioner filters, and complete and thorough cleaning of the painting or repair area.

Test, diagnose malfunctions, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., unclog toilets and drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace switches and power outlets, and other items in guest rooms.

Program televisions and perform general maintenance and inventory tasks related to engineering.

Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.

Perform repairs on interior and exterior gardens as well as exterior garden irrigation systems.

Demonstrate basic knowledge in computer operation including entering schedules into the air regulation system and changing temperature.

Experiencia en mantenimiento general, preparación de superficies exteriores e interiores y pintura.

Licencia o certificación: Carnet de conducir válido

Preferred

Se prefiere título de estudios secundarios o certificado equivalente de un programa de Desarrollo de Educación General (General Educational Development, GED) o título de formación vocacional o técnica.

Experiencia en ingeniería/mantenimiento de hoteles.
