Responsibilities

Primary focus on Plasma Dry Etch

Utilize Oxford tool for plasma dry etch, RIE & ICP Etching, ALD, and related Plasma Dry Etch process engineering in a FAB environment

Optimize current processes while developing new ones

Improve compound semiconductor FAB, particularly with Plasma Dry Etch

Conduct Failure mode & effects analysis (FMEA) and Designs of Experiments (DOE)

Train, certify operators on processes, write & release process procedures & instructions, sign off on tool/process release into production

Collaborate with integration & other engineers on process development

Supervise process engineer & technicians, ensuring tasks align with the plan

Evaluate metrology tool/processes

Oversee tools, manufacturing process, production issues, etc.

Required

Ph.D. (Preferred) or Master's in a relevant field PLUS 3-7 years industry experience

Experience using the Oxford tool for plasma dry etch OR FAB experience with ICP Dry etch, metrology tools such as Nanospec, SEM, etc.

Background developing relevant processes & optimizing current ones

Plasma Dry Etch experience

Hands-on FAB experience with Plasma Dry Etch, ideally with ICP Dry Etch or related Oxford Dry Etch tool experience

Oxford for plasma dry etch, RIE & ICP Etching, ALD and/or related Plasma Dry Etch process engineering experience in a FAB environment

Optimizing current processes while developing new ones

Improving compound semiconductor FAB, specifically with Plasma Dry Etch

Failure mode & effects analysis (FMEA) & Designs of Experiments (DOE) experience

Training, certifying operators on processes, writing & releasing process procedures & instructions, sign off on tool / process release into production

Work directly with integration & other engineers on process development

Oversee process engineer & technicians, ensuring tasks are moving toward agreed upon plan

Evaluating metrology tool / processes

Oversee tools, manufacturing process, production issues, etc.
