Responsibilities
Develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems for electric utility customers.
Review work provided by Client and assess requirements of scopes with frequent communication with clients.
Perform engineering calculations such as structural analysis, guying calculations, specifying conductor sags and tensions, and calculation of voltage drop and flicker.
Provide engineering support during construction and conduct post-construction reviews to ensure standards compliance.
Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles.
Coordinate conflicting utilities and field engineering design requirements, assess and develop large design packages for complex cable/conduit projects, work permit development, easements, and ROW applications.

Required
Must have experience working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company performing electric distribution design or engineering.
Experience preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, and customer advocacy such as acquiring easements
Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and distribution construction & design standards are required
