Responsibilities

Receiving requests for diagnostic imaging services and scheduling appointments through an online system.

Preparing and updating electronic patient records with demographic and insurance information.

Coordinating with various departments to ensure completeness of patient records prior to appointments.

Contacting insurance representatives for coverage confirmation or pre-authorization.

Providing information to physicians' offices and patients regarding registration and exam preparation.

Assisting in providing copies of image files when requested.

Required

High school level of knowledge including familiarity with personal computers.

Three to six months related experience demonstrating effective interpersonal and customer service skills familiarity with computer systems to access and enter data and effective organizational skills.

Experience with medical terminology and in a medical setting preferably in Diagnostic Imaging.

Additional one to three months on-the-job experience to become familiar with department policies and procedures scheduling processes electronic records compilation and maintenance etc.
