Responsibilities
Lead CAPEX projects with high complexity level, following project management methodology.
Effectively schedules, coordinates, mentors, and reviews project activities with appropriate functional groups.
Act as an Engineering SME during the project design and delivery process, applying J&J standards along with engineering methodologies and best practices.
Provide technical expertise and leadership to the process improvement projects and initiatives to resolve inter-functional issues, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, government regulations, and customer specifications.
Generate capital equipment appropriations required for new process implementation or facilities and control expenditures to ensure compliance with timing and budget requirements.
Monitor and report projects/programs status and implement strategies to ensure attainment on schedule, budget, procedures, and revenues.
Ensure adequate documentation and change management process.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational seminars and trade shows, reviewing professional publications, and analyzing new trends.
Manage resources and influence others to deliver budget, quality, efficiency, and EHS requirements of capital projects.
Supervise the construction or installations works to ensure that goods and services are provided according to Company requirements.
Develop and run Site Master Plan projects in collaboration and partnership with other teams such as site Manufacturing & Engineering Leads, Engineering and Property Services (E&PS), Global Technology System (GTS), Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT), and other support groups.

Required
Minimum Bachelor's/University or equivalent degree
Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
Regulated pharmaceutical industry experience within operational functions (e.g., facilities & utilities, maintenance, production, and/or engineering)
Demonstrated Project Engineering/Management experience including design, construction, and commissioning & qualification
Strong technical skills in pharmaceutical equipment and facilities engineering
Strong communication skills to effectively partner and deliver results in a diverse environment, while collaborating with different (external) engineering and supply chain organizations, and reporting up to the site leadership team
Demonstrate ability to lead/manage projects and influence without direct authority across multiple functions/teams
Familiarity with financial management, including experience developing cost estimates and budgets
Experience using Project management tools (preferably SAP, Maximo, Planisware, Ariba, eMarketplace, Tableau, and/or Power BI)
Proficient in Contractor Relationship Management
Preferred
Advanced degree or focused degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license is strongly desired; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
FPX or Project Management Professional (PMP) training or certification
Knowledgeable of emerging and advanced technologies (e.g., related to such things as equipment or facility efficiencies)
Detailed knowledge of oral solids and/or parenteral manufacturing, packaging, and/or facilities processes/equipment
Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance tools (e.g., infrared, ultrasound, and/or vibration analysis)
Process Excellence/ Lean / Six Sigma experience, training, or certification
Requires fluency in English (verbal and written)
Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel
