Responsibilities
Manage operations and staffing in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory.
Oversee client work orders and projects to ensure efficient operations and effective staff management.
Work independently to plan, organize, and control workflow to ensure all lab functions are completed safely and efficiently.
Ensure timely completion and communication of test results with a focus on production and meeting customer expectations.

Required
Knowledge of laboratory testing methods under IEC/EN/UL/CSA safety testing for Electrical Equipment, including most collateral and particular standards. Experience with 60601-1, 62368-1, 61010-1 and 60335-1 required
Product Safety testing & certifications according to IEC CB-scheme
Understanding of ISO / IEC 17025
OSHA/NRTL (USA) and SCC (Canada)
Knowledge of customer and industry standards with respect to test requirements and reporting of data
Knowledge of federal, state or other regulatory laboratory requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong technical problem solving and process improvement skills
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or equivalent work experience
5+ years of related experience in laboratory testing and or laboratory supervision.
Preferred
Experience with product safety testing on medical devices acc. to IEC 60601 a PLUS, for example: The basic list of tests specific to medical devices including, but not limited to: Defibrillation Proof Tests, Energy Reduction, Patient Leakage Current Tests, Surgical, cosmetic, therapeutic and diagnostic laser equipment, Mechanical tests for Transport and Stability
