Responsibilities

Implementing technical engineering solutions to improve current manufacturing processes and developing new processes and product enhancements for Howmet Wheel Systems.

Supporting daily operations to achieve OEE targets by monitoring the process, analyzing data, optimizing inputs, and troubleshooting issues.

Monitoring and maintaining die & tooling health to support optimal part quality and coordinating die & tooling repair and refurbishment.

Required

Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering or other suitable technical education

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

An emphasis in the areas of Forging, Product Inspection, CMM (Zeiss preferred), Flow Forming / Spinning, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Data Analytics, Automation, and Smart Manufacturing

Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently

High degree of people skills to motivate and influence others

Thorough understanding of the Howmet Aerospace Business System and methods for assessing process capability and driving continuous improvements

Thorough knowledge of the forging process and standard practices acquired through extensive experience in various technical assignments

Ability to deal effectively with people under varying circumstances
