Responsibilities

Collaborates with network team to design, implement, and administrate network infrastructure.

Establishes networking environment by installing, configuring, testing, and documenting the equipment/network systems according to the design and specifications.

Leads the performance of day-to-day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability, and serviceability within minimal interruption.

Provides technical support, responds to tickets from the users, analyzes and solves reported network problems.

Leads in the configuration of firewall security policy configuration.

Leads network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software, and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without disturbing function of other systems.

Leads in the development and production of complex documentation for installation, network topology, and troubleshooting of communications hardware or software.

Provides on-call networking technical support.

Performs other related work as assigned.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; plus eight (8) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

In depth experience with Aruba, Palo Alto, and Cisco systems

Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google PaaS network infrastructure

Maintain professional level certifications in respective network technologies

Prior network engineer experience

Advanced knowledge of networking concepts to include BGP routing

Proven experience and success with cloud networking as well as on-prem LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation

Attention to detail and excellent critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills

Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices

Familiarity with network analysis tools including SolarWinds and packet capture

Initiative and innovation in improving work processes

Ability to work successfully with a team and handle pressure while meeting deadlines

Preferred

Have to be willing to be on-site in a hybrid model - 3 days/week on-site
