Responsibilities
Lead manufacturing-related projects
Lead operations improvement - ergonomic & human factor, operations plans, recovery planning, capacity planning and capital planning
Provide production support - scheduling, theory of constraint, budget & forecast, crew empowerment, defect analysis, core competency definition, make/buy evaluation, benchmarking analysis
Identify and prioritize process improvement project - lean manufacturing, engineering economic analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical methods, six sigma and time studies
Facilitate system integration - Value Stream Analysis, Facility Layouts, Production Systems Design, Manufacturing Process Design, Systems Thinking, Facilities Planning, and Requirements
Execute time-motion study directly on the field
Perform time studies, make observations and form opinions regarding issues identified, their cause and possible solutions
Gather data through time studies, observations, or data analysis to form opinions regarding issues identified, their cause and possible solutions
Perform analysis to improve operations, determine hourly labor requirements, develop planning standards, and assist with smaller subcomponents of larger projects
Provide input into the design for simple studies, plan study schedules, meet and train hourly data collectors, ensure proper data collection, troubleshoot, and manage time study data
Develop ad hoc queries and reporting for tracking operating performance, update and maintain databases, manipulate large quantities of data for analysis
Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities, perform other assigned duties, consolidate and validate industrial engineering models
Contribute to the build of New Glenn rocket by supporting all manufacturing areas

Required
BS in Operations Research, Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
4+ years of experience working directly with manufacturing in a production environment
Demonstrated ability in manufacturing and/or facilities planning
Factory flow, process modeling and simulations experience
Experience leading continuous improvement and value stream mapping events
Strong analytic skill set and a high degree of proficiency in data mining
Exceptional with Excel and manual data analysis
Excellent Interpersonal Communication Skills
Self-Starter
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
Preferred
Desired Operations Management, Construction Management, MSE and/or MBA
Manned space flight production experience
Project Management Certification (PMP)
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Experience transitioning development to production
Strong teaming skills
Experience with manufacturing organizations and/or supply chain
Hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes
