Responsibilities
Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.
Designs or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
Researches, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for various applications.
Sets operational specifications and formulates and analyzes software requirements.
Designs embedded systems software.
Applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or IT related field and 12 years of related experience
Applicants must have an active Secret clearance
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree and 12 years’ experience specific to Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS)
Experience with Java in Linux environments
Ability to develop program logic for new applications or analyze existing applications
Experienced with codes, tests, debugs and maintaining software applications
Ability to analyze requirements and maintain test and integrate applications
Ability to solve a range of problems independently
