Responsibilities

Ensure the clients' needs are met by designing, building, and maintaining reliable lines of code.

Develop strategic plans for projects and contribute to complex enterprise projects.

Continuously learn, demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning new things, and collaborate with team members.

Utilize Test Driven Development in object-oriented or functional programming languages like Java, Scala, JavaScript, Python, and C#.

Design and deploy solutions with containerized microservices using technologies such as AWS, Docker, Lambda, ECS, Thrift, and Finagle.

Adopt an API-first approach to address customer needs effectively.

Apply high scale performance and optimization techniques.

Maintain systems by updating, adding features, refactoring code, and fixing bugs.

Collaborate with the team through code reviews and architecture discussions.

Follow Agile/XP software development practices and mentor new engineers in the profession.

Communicate and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.

Required

5+ years of professional software development experience

Developing applications and built systems using Test Driven Development in object-oriented or functional programming languages such as Java, Scala, JavaScript, Python, and C#

Design and deploy solutions with containerized microservices utilizing technologies such as AWS, Docker, Lambda, ECS, Thrift, and Finagle

Adopt an API-first approach to effectively address customer needs

Knowledge of high scale performance and optimization techniques

Help care for systems by keeping them up-to-date, adding features, refactoring code, and fixing bugs

Collaborate with the team via code reviews and architecture discussions

Familiarity with and excited about Agile/XP software development practices for delivering projects

Experience collaborating and communicating with non-technical stakeholders

Experience mentoring engineers who are new to the profession
