Responsibilities

You will assist in the development of new applications for the FluoroFinder platform; participate and collaborate in product development for existing and new tools.

Effectively apply modern coding principles and best practices to produce quality, scalable, documented, maintainable code.

Perform all phases of software development including design, implementation, testing, integration, and maintenance of software.

Use your strong communication and collaboration skills to work directly with other developers and with stakeholders such as marketing, customer support, enterprise support, and data-management team members.

Required

Experience with responsive web design.

Application of web application UI/UX best practices.

Desire to contribute to and make improvements to the UI architecture.

Comfortable using version control (git & GitHub) and story-tracking systems (Pivotal).

Preferred

Ruby on Rails development

PostgreSQL or other relational databases

Software development for the scientific community

Remote work with individual responsibility for completing features.

Working in an iterative, flexible, and changing development environment.

Communicating and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Participating in and contributing to all parts of the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Designing and developing new features on top of, and integrated with, an existing set of codebases.
