Responsibilities
Lead the planning and design phases of biogas projects, including feasibility studies, site assessments, and conceptual designs.
Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and construction plans for biogas systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and environmental requirements.
Support technical modeling to predict mass balances, system sizing, biogas production, and basis of design
Interpret conceptual process flow diagrams, functional design specifications, P&IDs, and electrical single line diagrams.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges and ensure safety throughout all project phases.
Perform performance testing, data analysis, and troubleshooting of anaerobic digestion and RNG systems to optimize efficiency and production.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful project execution.
Coordinate with external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate project approvals and permits.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, including engineers, operators, and contractors, to ensure quality standards and project goals are met.
Perform site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
Oversee commissioning, testing, and startup activities for biogas systems, ensuring smooth transition to operational phase.
Prepare comprehensive project reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering preferred. Relevant experience will be considered.
5+ years of technical project engineering experience in biogas, renewable natural gas, hydrogen, or other green fuel product.
Strong technical knowledge of biogas production processes, anaerobic digestion systems, and renewable energy technologies.
Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.), project management tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.) and industrial SCADA systems encouraged
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present technical information clearly and persuasively.
Demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability and renewable energy initiatives.
Ability to travel 25-30% on average but more as required by projects
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
