Responsibilities
Evaluates and recommends Information Security products and solutions to enhance the organization’s Information Security posture and meet organizational needs.
Play a critical role in reviewing, evaluating, assessing and reporting on technology related assets being considered for procurement that will be leveraged and/or implemented at KHS.
Defines guidelines for securely deploying workstations, servers, and network components.
Support efforts to architect, design, implement, maintain, and operate information system security controls and countermeasures.
Analyzes and recommends security controls and procedures in acquisition, development, and change management lifecycle of information systems, and monitors for compliance.
Monitors information systems for security incidents and vulnerabilities; develops monitoring and visibility capabilities; reports on incidents (including leading incident response), vulnerabilities, and trends. Evaluate and recommend actions and strategies for improving KHS security posture.
Advises organization management and develops and executes plans for compliance and mitigation of risk; performs risk and compliance self-assessments and engages and coordinates third-party risk and compliance assessments.
Develops and administers, or provides advice, evaluation, and oversight for, information security training and awareness programs.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, develop security measures, and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
Develop and implement security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption technologies, and access controls.
Monitor systems for security breaches, investigate incidents, and maintain current KHS incident response plans.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.
Stay informed about emerging threats and security trends, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Provide guidance and support to other teams on security best practices and protocols.
Develop security training and awareness programs for employees.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field and three (3) years of experience in an Information Security Analyst or Engineer role required
OR Seven (7) years of experience in an Information Security Analyst or Engineer role required
In-depth knowledge of Information Security principles, protocols, and technologies
Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM solutions (Sentinel), EDR/XDR platforms, and antivirus software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex systems and identify security risks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Preferred
Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CySA, CEH, Security+) are a plus
