Responsibilities

Serve as a member of a diverse team of experts providing world-class operations and maintenance support for cybersecurity management capabilities.

Design, engineer, and configure cybersecurity technologies to enhance security operations.

Build and manage network security systems involving components such as routers, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and more.

Perform security reviews and identify gaps in security monitoring and response architectures.

Implement or work with Log Management and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) products such as Splunk in a complex network environment.

Assist security analysts in building operational processes around the SIEM ecosystems.

Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements.

Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to security incidents.

Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for security technologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the security posture of the organization.

Required

Demonstrated experience in developing SOC capabilities to a more robust visualized, industry-standard support model.

Hands-on experience with network security systems and components such as routers, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint detection and response tools.

Knowledge of information systems security principles, trends, and techniques.

Experience in performing security reviews and identifying gaps in security monitoring and response architectures.

Knowledge of network systems management principles, models, methods, and tools.

Ability to create solutions that balance business and security requirements.

Strong understanding of network design processes and security objectives.

Foundation in network and security skills, with knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Cisco operating systems, networking protocols, and network traffic analysis.

Experience with log management and SIEM products such as Splunk.

Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of professional work experience with a diverse set of cybersecurity technologies in enterprise-level environments.

Self-driven with a technical aptitude to learn new technologies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to obtain and maintain customer required security clearance.
