Responsibilities
Develop and qualify manufacturing techniques, processes, flow maps, and work instructions for superconducting magnet components and assemblies
Supporting Quality Activities in Manufacturing
Development of high-field magnet insulation components and joints
Design tooling improvements, document
CAD Design work, Creative problem solving, Report writing, Data collection, and hands-on assembly of test pieces.
Develop assembly methods and tools to perform specific tasks within the larger goal of SPARC assembly.
Work with design and equipment engineers to develop custom automation equipment
Multiscale structural computational modeling of high-field superconducting magnets
Support HTS R&D team projects

Required
Pursuing an engineering degree with focus in the fields of Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace
Hands-on experience through academic research, project teams, machine shops, hackathons, or industry internships
Demonstration of exceptional results through a range of different pursuits
High self-motivation and drive to execute quickly with excellent troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
Authorized to work in the United States for any employer
