Responsibilities

Take ownership of the code structure, internal patterns, and programming methods used to build Talentverse.
Collaborate closely with the Founder and backend engineer to design and launch new features, triage problems, and fix bugs.
Use Typescript/GraphQL for the frontend and Java/Python for the backend, running on AWS.
Design in Figma and collaborate using Coda/Slack/Zoom.
Write production-level code and debug and resolve production issues regularly.

Required

10-15 years experience in software engineering
Experience writing frontend code in Typescript/GraphQL
Strong attention to detail
Experience collaborating with a geographically distributed team
Experience with Java/Python for backend development
Experience with AWS
Experience with Figma, Coda, Slack, and Zoom
Passion for software engineering and user experience
Driven to ship products
Care about developer experience and modern programming techniques
Experience in building highly performant SPAs
Experience with JavaScript / Typescript / React
Ability to debug and resolve production issues

Preferred

Located in UTC-5 timezone or willing to work in UTC-5 timezone
Experience with Kanban methodology
Experience with BDD / XP programming techniques
Experience with Key Value Stores
Experience with feature flags
Experience with instrumentation and monitoring
Experience with Visual Studio, IntelliJ, and other relevant tools
