Responsibilities

Evaluate and select orders, purchase merchandise consistent with contract costs, value and quality, quantity, and specification requirements of the business.

Analyze and monitor purchasing history, non-compliant buying patterns, vendor spend, trends, and macro-economic environment to anticipate buying patterns and determine inventory needs.

Support Procurement Category Manager in conducting RFI/RFQ/RFP’s and identify opportunities to bid on services, materials, or commodity requirements.

Participate in special projects and spot buys that require subject matter expertise for new store concept projects.

Assist the Procurement Category Manager or Director with assigned category strategy support.

Negotiate costs, early pay discounts, payment terms, and transportation arrangements for commodities, goods, and services.

Plan and forecast inventory requirements for multiple DC’s to anticipate needs and mitigate out of stocks.
