Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior management to devise sales strategies and nurture client relationships.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their technical and logistical needs, enhancing the company's presence in the pharmaceutical sector.
Travel to meet clients and establish robust business relationships, gaining insights into their activities to identify potential opportunities.
Maintain and develop relationships with both existing and new customers.
Engage with clients to secure new sales and projects.
Deliver presentations to educate customers about the company's technical capabilities.
Coordinate with internal teams to create cost estimates for specific projects and develop proposals for potential opportunities.
Regularly collect account and client information.
Act as a liaison between R&D/manufacturing teams and clients, assist in setting up meetings, and participate in all project meetings, providing technical support when needed.
Stay updated on industry developments and attend trade shows.
Use technical expertise and customer relationships to identify improvement areas in existing projects and uncover new project/product opportunities.
Ensure clear and transparent communication internally and externally via email, teleconferences, and video conferences.

Required

A minimum of a MS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
8+ years of business development experience working with pharmaceutical clients.

Preferred

Some laboratory experience (medicinal or process chemistry) or experience in CMC.
Previous experience in selling for a chemical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) in RSM/GMP-intermediate/API areas.
Preferably based on the East Coast of the United States.
Open to working in a multicultural environment.
