Responsibilities
Work on a variety of DOT and/or LPA roadway/highway design projects
Work on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects.
Independently apply extensive knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments
Assist upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
Provide mentorship to junior level engineers and design staff
Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance
Ensure project designs are in conformance with the latest design specifications
Perform design quantity computations and checks
Produce drawings in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Prepare proposals or funding applications.
Acquire general knowledge of practices in related fields and function as a part of multidisciplinary teams
Perform other duties associated with the position

Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE)
15+ years of experience in roadway design
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work individually or as part of a team
