Responsibilities
Design small to medium size structures using 3D structural design software, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Review customer requirements to ensure timely delivery of fit-for-purpose designs.
Present structural calculation reports to clients and design verification partners.
Develop detailed 3D models using AutoCAD 3D and Revit.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings with clients and colleagues.
Produce construction drawings, material lists, and cutting schedules.
Field technical inquiries using existing documentation or problem-solving skills.
Verify project feasibilities through concept level design and cost estimation.
Manage concurrent projects and improve internal engineering processes for future projects.
Possibly automate internal engineering processes for speed and accuracy improvement.

Required
Bachelors degree in engineering, preferably in structural, civil or mechanical. Other engineering qualifications will be considered.
Experience in working within the BIM (Building Information Modelling) concept and methodology.
Proficiency in 3D modelling CAD software, preferably within the Autodesk suite. AutoCAD 3D and Revit are used on a daily basis.
Knowledge of basic structural engineering concepts and experience with 3D structural analysis software is preferred.
Good IT and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with the comprehension of engineering drawings, calculations and datasheets.
Knowledge of US building codes (ASCE is preferred).
Willingness to travel and overnight stays (project related) in the US/ Canada (likely not for the first year).
Understanding of the US construction industry.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
