Responsibilities

Python Development: Develop robust Python code to implement APIs and integrate with external systems

API Platform Development: Contribute to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of a scalable API platform, focusing on performance and reliability

API Documentation: Create and maintain clear, concise, and up-to-date API documentation using tools like Swagger

Quality Assurance and Security: Ensure all APIs developed adhere to security protocols and quality standards, participating in audits and updates as necessary

Performance Monitoring: Implement and maintain monitoring systems to track API performance metrics, identifying and resolving issues proactively

API Orchestration: Work on orchestration of APIs and integration with various systems to ensure seamless functionality

Application and System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs into existing applications and systems

API Design: Contribute to API design discussions and decisions, focusing on simplicity, functionality, and reliability

API Rate Limits and Tokens: Implement and manage API rate limiting and token-based authentication where applicable

Required

Proficiency in Python with a focus on advanced libraries and frameworks

Experience with relational and non-relational databases

Solid understanding of modern API design principles and RESTful architectures

Experience with cloud development, preferably in Azure

Modern coding patterns

4+ years of experience with advanced Python and related libraries

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation
