Responsibilities

Support the startup and implementation of the Grinding production line in the Lincolnton, NC facility.

Learn the process during startup to develop local work instructions and standards.

Communicate with related departments such as Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality.

Train and monitor new production associates, providing feedback as needed.

Load/unload, operate, adjust, change-over, and maintain multiple machines.

Conduct 5S activities and troubleshoot issues.

Reach daily targets and escalate deviations when necessary.

Required

High School Diploma or GED, Technical or Vocation Schooling a plus.

3 to 5 years previous experience in Brazing Processes (or similar)

Computer Skills including Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word).

Excellent communication skills - spoken, written, interpersonal

Ability to learn and understand new processes, machines and technology.

Flexibility to work in different shifts, overtime

Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 hours

Proper hand dexterity

Ability to read and follow instructions

Ability to read and prepare orders

Ability to lift (up to) 40 lbs.

Math skills appropriate to a machining environment.

Able to read product prints and check product to match.

Proficient in the use of measuring devices.

Setup machine using basic hand tools and measuring devices.

Identify and assess common problems with machine, trouble-shooting.

Read and follow standard operating procedures

Understand and follow procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization.
