Responsibilities

Setup and operate machine tools to efficiently produce parts as required.

Develop new machining processes to produce new parts or parts not previously made on the CNC equipment.

Continually review and enhance existing processes to improve efficiency.

Check part conformance with engineering blueprints and quality standards.

Instruct others in proper operation and safety procedures for machines.

Support the entire machining operation.

Perform daily maintenance and housekeeping to ensure equipment is well-maintained.

Adhere to company safety and health standards for the group.

Provide timely and quality services and support to internal and external customers.

Required

Must have sufficient experience and/or training in machine shop practices to program, setup, operate and maintain CNC equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and tooling instructions.

Must be able to plan and utilize production labor, consistent with company policies, and maintain the respect of the employees in the group.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents and manuals

Ability to interact / communicate effectively with customers, employees, and external personal

Ability to identify, communicate, and help prevent potential problems

Must be efficient with strong attention to detail

Ability to follow a set of procedures or set sequences

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to meet frequent project deadlines

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time

Ability to reach above shoulders

Ability to walk back and forward throughout the facility

Ability to use ladder / step stool

Ability to kneel, climb, and / or squat

Ability to control operation of hand or foot

Ability to lift / carry up to 10 pounds
