Responsibilities
Reviews established criteria for data abstraction and understands how individual data elements relate to measures and outcomes
Identifies patients for inclusion in appropriate measures
Utilizes a variety of software applications for data collection and analysis
Responsible for the accurate and timely entry of data into software
Demonstrates reliability of data definitions and participates in data validation and inter-rater reliability testing
Understands workflow and clinical documentation in relation to data collected
Works with multiple departments to identify opportunities for improvement

Required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
BSN or upon hire BSN completion agreement for enrollment in an accredited BSN Completion Program
ADN required if hired prior to specific dates in certain counties
Five years of progressive experience in an acute care setting
Experience with Epic electronic medical record and documentation workflow
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Licensed as an RN in state of practice
Preferred
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality
Color blind test may be required per department guidelines
