Responsibilities

Perform detailed assignments for creating and developing design documents using AutoCAD and 3D software packages.
Prepare Bill of Materials and release documents to production control.
Translate concepts into drawings, models, and bills of material.
Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and data to determine design factors.
Check dimensions of parts and establish standard designs.
Work closely with other teams and departments to support projects globally.
Maintain parts and materials using ECN and SAP systems.
Lead major tasks within a project and generate product layout concepts and system configurations.
Continuously increase expertise on all aspects of product design and applications.
Strive for continuous improvement and teamwork in product development environments.

Required

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an Associate degree in Engineering or related science with 2 years of drafting and design experience, or seven (7) years of related drafting and design work experience will be considered.
Proficiency in Microsoft suite Applications (Work, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint) as well as AutoCAD, is required. Knowledge in SAP is helpful but not required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Mechanically inclined with the ability to visualize how parts fit together.
Ability to work independently.
Understanding usage of some general business practices.
Must be highly organized, able to work within strict deadlines.

Preferred

Previous experience in 3D solids design, experience using (e.g. Bentley, Inventor, Creo, Solidworks, Fusion 360, or similar) software experience is a plus.
Experience with management databases is a plus.
