Responsibilities

Develop frameworks for state-of-the-art web platforms to build end-to-end automation using CI/CD pipeline, define release strategy, maintain test harnesses, build reporting workflow for integration, etc.

Partner with multiple stakeholders including product owners, UX, back-end engineers, and QA engineers.

Train and/or mentor other team members, and peers as appropriate, including installation and support teams.

Provide technical input on department or projects, budgets, capital expenditures or other cost/resource estimates as requested.

Identify opportunities to enhance the service delivery processes.

Facilitate achievement of expected deliverables and obligations of Services Providers.

Validate completeness of requirements prior to Service Provider solutioning.

Ensure all projects follow the defined development and business case processes.

Ensure proper coordination with appropriate IT and vendor relations teams.

Provide consultation for routine and complex systems development.

Ensure early warning to the business stakeholder executives regarding degraded or missed service levels.

Coordinate with Operations and Infrastructure teams for deployment and production support activities.

Follow all defined IT standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provide input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed.

Maintain a proper balance between business and operational risk.

Follow the defined project management standards and processes.

Required

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification in computer science or related discipline

5+ years’ experience in Devops and DevSecops implementations

Thorough understanding of SDLC, Automation tools and framework, CI/CD pipelines

Design, develop and implement software integrations based on requirements

Serve as a source of technical expertise to all product teams

Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, troubleshooting, processes, and standards

Proactively identifying and resolving key technical issues

Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding

Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures

Participate in platform management, capacity planning, and system design

Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives

Stay up to date with the latest Devops technologies and best practices

Preferred

Experience with CI/CD and project management tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, etc.)

Create plug-and-play/reusable solutions and patterns for CICD pipelines

Create, develop, and implement automation and system integration for various build platforms

Publish and disseminate DevOps and DevSecOps best practices, patterns, and solutions

Build or maintain CICD building blocks and shared libraries proactively for app and development teams to enable quicker build and deployment

Design action plans to address CICD platform/tools/solutions’ shortcomings and difficulties

Experience with configuration management and deployment automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Terraform, etc.

Experience in System Testing and Building Automation Tools

Experience with web technologies (REST, JSON etc.)

Experience with container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)

Experience with both private and public cloud infrastructure and interfacing programmatically through APIs

A proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, et al

Proven ability to work in an Agile development environment
