Responsibilities

Design, configuration, development, documentation, and testing of technology solutions to meet business or technology requirements.

Collaboration with internal and external teams/vendors to ensure proper integration of technology solutions while maintaining the highest levels of network availability and performance.

Analysis and translation of end user needs into technology solution capabilities and designs.

Perform network traffic analysis, predict LAN network bandwidth needs, and recommend modifications to the network configurations.

Peer review of designs, implementation plans, software code, configuration settings, or other artifacts.

Work with IT Product teams and other IT areas throughout the development, testing, and implementation life cycle.

Maintain currency in network technologies and industry trends.

Participating in the planning and execution of critical patches and version upgrades.

Create technical process flowcharts, diagrams, drawings, and other related documentation.

Applies operational break fixes and performs other proactive maintenance activities.

Documents capabilities and any changes to new or existing components and associated test activities and test results.

Makes solutions and solution parts production-ready by following the standard change management processes.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

A minimum of 6 years of professional technology solution engineering

Demonstrated leadership capabilities through technology solution ownership and adoption, projects or other work experiences

Demonstrated experience translating business outcomes, business requirements and technical requirements into technical designs for new technology solutions or enhancements to existing technology solutions, while following architectural standards and organizational policies

Diverse experience in network/systems/security design and implementation of data network infrastructure based on mostly Cisco’s equipment and technologies

Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting data and converged network infrastructure including most of the following: 802.1x, vPC, VXLAN, Routing Protocols including OSPF and BGP, LAN/WAN/Wireless protocols,, Network Management tools Load Balancers, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, and other network related technologies in support of a large corporate network

In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, NXOS , BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, FCOE and FC environments

Experience with Datacenter virtualization technologies including hands on experience with Cisco Nexus platform including Spine/Leaf, 9k, 7k, 5k and SAN switching

Experience with cloud (preferably AWS) network/infrastructure technologies

In-depth hands on experience with Cisco ASR 8500/9000, 4000 ISR UC routers and Catalyst 9K, 4500, 3500, 3600 switching environment
