Responsibilities

Review the Design-Build contractor's plans and specifications for RFP compliance, constructability, and technical correctness.

Coordinate the work of engineering consultants, review and make recommendations for changes, approve plans, specifications, and bidding documents, negotiate change orders, and review and approve payments.

Prepare statements of Qualifications (RFQs) regarding professional engineering, construction inspection, construction management, and materials testing services.

Review, analyze, and make recommendations on accepting/rejecting construction contract bids, attend and assist in coordinating pre-bid, pre-construction, and construction meetings.

Monitor construction contracts and professional services agreements, ensure compliance, and process invoices for work completed under those contracts and agreements.

Perform other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.

Required

Florida Licensed Professional Engineering (PE)

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering discipline

Four (4) years of practical engineering experience, including two (2) years of civil engineering experience

Considerable knowledge of civil engineering practices and procedures involving water, wastewater, stormwater, roadway and bridge plan design, or floodplain management

Skill in managing multiple projects simultaneously
