Responsibilities

Leads business development activities such as client engagement, opportunity identification, team formation, proposal preparation, presentation, and project execution.

Drives performance of the transportation business and grows market share to become the preferred advisor to clients.

Manages local client coordination and cross-selling efforts in collaboration with Business Line Leaders.

Integrates as the “face of the company” locally and across the State of Florida, attending civic and industry events.

Leads civil engineering projects ensuring contributors know what they are required to do and by when, preparing and overseeing relevant project budgets.

Develops proposal and project scopes, timelines, pricing, and budgetary metrics.

Provides verbal and/or written inputs to multi-disciplinary project teams and contributes to providing high-level strategic advice to clients.

Leverages technical experience to enhance service offerings and fosters the development of new innovations.

Advances the strategic direction of the area in the location of responsibility for sustained growth.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

15+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering, civil and infrastructure design.

Florida Professional Engineer license.

Demonstrated experience of leadership, personal accountability, persistence, and growth.

Ability to innovate and re-think the conventional approach to client and employee engagement.

Strong business acumen with an aptitude for improving processes.

Sound decision-making, strategic and visionary thinking, and creative business development capabilities across a multi-disciplined practice.

Strongly established relevant client relationships and industry contacts in the Florida Market.

Commitment to internal and external client service.

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
