Responsibilities

Lead process control plan development and implementation for assigned department

Support the development of standard operating procedures for plant operations

Provide daily reporting, analysis and recommendations for the attainment of departmental KPI targets

Identify cause and effect relationships using a data driven approach

Organize and manage multiple projects and tasks to assure high quality and timely service to both internal and external customers

Conduct tests, experiments and/or simulations to optimize manufacturing process

Collaborate with other functions (production, engineering, EHS, etc.) on projects and on resolving process concerns

Perform all other related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering from an accredited College or University

2+ years of previous work experience with process improvement in a manufacturing environment

Ability to analyze data, identify trends and propose solutions for process optimization

Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and to champion change in a highly dynamic environment

Ability to understand process flows, P&ID’s and mass/energy balances

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong project management skills including time management, action planning, prioritization of tasks, attention to details and meeting deadlines

Previous work experience with process control systems and data historians (e.g. Wonderware, OSIsoft PI)

Highly self-motivated and directed

Preferred

Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred, but not required

Previous experience with metallurgical processes preferred, but not required

Experience using statistical software and tools
