Responsibilities

Monitor inspection/testing processes and data results for compliance with specifications and quality standards.

Support manufacturing with quality services including process control planning, auditing, and capability studies.

Analyze and evaluate manufacturing processes to reduce variation using statistical techniques.

Manage Supplier Quality by qualifying suppliers, defining requirements, and driving improvement.

Lead continuous improvement efforts and process controls within the business value stream.

Develop validation protocols to support customer requirements.

Establish and maintain quality and inspection plans.

Perform internal and external unit failure analysis and identify corrective actions.

Monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and drive improvement initiatives.

Provide quality-related training on QMS processes and continuous improvement tools.

Provide direction and guidance to quality technicians and/or inspectors.

Required

Strong working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. Microsoft products preferred. Working knowledge of JMP, Minitab or other statistical software.

Excellent communication (oral/written), organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Ability to travel to suppliers in the US and internationally: approximately 15% travel.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business journals and standards. Ability to write technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and to respond to questions from managers and customers.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Strong working knowledge of statistics, S.P.C., and D.O.E.

Ability to lead change efforts and lead teams in continuous improvement initiatives

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
