Responsibilities
Lead and manage teams to develop and execute strategic portfolio plans aligned with the company's objectives.
Drive the development and implementation of innovative projects, from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and other functional teams, to understand their research needs and priorities.
Collaborate with external partners, academic institutions, and research organizations to leverage external expertise and resources.
Oversee the allocation of resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to support portfolio activities effectively.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advancements, and integrate relevant insights into strategies and projects.
Drive the dissemination of findings through publications, presentations, and products, both internally and externally.

Required
Ph.D., public policy, economics, data science or equivalent practical experience.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Substantive experience working with administrative data and generating and communicating findings.
Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans aligned with business objectives.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive collaborative initiatives.
Commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable work environment.
Preferred
Work experience with state and federal agencies to produce evidence for policy.
Experience working with state longitudinal data systems including K12, postsecondary and workforce data systems.
Experience securing research grants or funding.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to data and analytic activities.
