Responsibilities

Perform training for users as needed

Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, improvements, upgrades, and installations of instruments and equipment in the cleanroom

Coordinate with suppliers, university facilities team, and faculty/staff for service and troubleshooting

Identify and manage resources to support cleanroom operations and projects

Develop new processes for efficiency and cost reduction

Maintain process/instrument related documents and inventory

Monitor and analyze data to improve instrument performance

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Mentor undergraduate CLI students and summer research activities

Required

Bachelor’s degree and one-year related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Practical knowledge and application of electronics, mechanics, vacuum theory, math, and computers

Knowledge of basic computer skills and software such as Microsoft Office programs (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.…) and Google Suite applications

Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques, ability to learn the operational concepts of systems, and how to perform diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques to solve more complex operational and system problems

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, flow charts, and cause and effect diagrams

Must be detail-oriented, have effective communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, and can work either independently or as a part of a team. Must be a team player

Must be a problem solver as well as a decision-maker

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience that shows their commitment to fostering such an environment

Preferred

A.A.S. degree in Engineering, Trade, or other technical discipline and or related experience

A minimum of four (4) years of experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor equipment
